Hey all, its been awhile. Been super busy and haven't had time to update. However, I have been keeping busy and sneaking in painting sessions, when feasible. These paintings have been painted over the course of a few months, but each was completed in a single setting, if I remember correctly.
With this impressionist oil painting, I wanted to create a dark scene that would play on complimentary colors. Truthfully, I wanted it to be a little bit bleak. I am sure each viewer will see something different, but it certainly looks lonesome to me. This is an 8x10.
This landscape oil painting was actually completed, when I went out of town. This was likely my first getaway in 15+ years. I made a smaller one similar to this that I will upload later. Anyway, I left it for whoever else visits that cabin. I believe this is 16x20, but I will check for sure later on.
For this impressionist oil painting, I wanted to create something dark and bleak. Perhaps, this says a bit about me? Not that I am depressed, but I do like these types of scenes. Anyway, wanted to show how the world continues to roll, while you're down and out, as it does for the figure on the bench. The rest of the figures continue about their days, without a care in the world. Sure, we all can sympathize with this and have likely experience the same. I believe this one is 18x20, but I would have to check, if anyone wants to know.
And finally, a happier scene. This was was completed yesterday and is still wet, as the one above is. I've completed several impressionist landscapes, which feature fields, but I think this one is the best thus far. I don't know, but I like it and plan on hanging it somewhere soon. I believe this one is 18x24, or 18x20, but I would have to check for particulars.
